Not sure if it is just broken or if it is because I need to be added to the "moviemaker" group on the page. If the latter is true, I'd like to be added.

I added you on the Movie Makers group, just let me know if that works.

I believe the indicators for a new post in a category on the forums are broken. They should appear blue for a new post but appear grey.

Currently Grey means "New Unread posts" and Blue means "You've seen everything here".

We're actually discussing changing that to be more... intuitive. Like red for unread posts.

Usually, like all the forums i've been at, when you've read something, the topic goes gray, not blue xD

So please change, Blue= New Post, Gray = No need to even bother to look at

On team pages in an active season, matches are moved off of 'Upcoming Matches' as soon as the default date is passed. These matches should remain listed there until they've had a score reported instead.

I agree, It was like that on the old website too. Where matches would disappear after the default date. It shouldnt be until they are played.

Right.... that's an interesting decision.

You don't even need red in there, just make it so grey is read, and blue is unread.

Makes the most sense.

Something is really fishy here, let me demonstrate:

I see there is new post from tachi today:

But when I click on the subforum, the topic doesnt show:

When I go back and click on tachi's name to get into the "last comment" I can see the the whole new thread and the comments, when i go back to the subforum, now I can see the thread:

Funny thing is I know for sure there is more recent thread that doesn't show at all, one for session this Thursday and I already wrote on that one couple days ago. This happened to me in general discussion too once, didn't pay much attention to it, but now it's repeated offense. What's up with that? Cleared cash, tried different browser, same thing.

Hi,

Here is some pointers on what should be added/fixed/changed:

1. IRC Channel should be allowed to add channel and network, not everyone uses Quakenet, and also point directly to the channel (irc://server/channel)
2. API. I have been working on a site combining NS2Stats and ENSL, but everything went down when there is no actual API.
3. Shoutbox history should have the message field larger than any of the other fields (http://www.ensl.org/shoutmsgs)
4. http://www.ensl.org/gathers/ Please make a cookie or something for the information part. So it stays hidden.
5. On the dropdown menu, it feels and looks weird that it just ends with black. and the border dont continue to the bottom line. Bug, or intended?
6. Sidebar (SHOUTBOX, MATCH SCHEDULE) titles, I think its to bolded, or too close to eachother
7. What happened to NS1 Gather? Is it completely removed now?
8. Try to make the container for the content go full screen so the footer stays at bottom so its just isnt a slight white line.

What makes me "meh", is that every little text is so large and bolded now, 26px on each?

Seems like it worked, now I just got a timeout when uploading. Will try again tonight when I go to bed.

Weird, it can be broken I guess yeah. If you get any informations on this, let me know again. This group isn't really used anymore so you're certainly the only one to know if that's broken or not.

I agree, I think it is possible to make the text more readable on the history. Maybe reduce other columns, especially "Time" & "Date".

Not really a bug, I guess It wasn't foreseen in the original designs...

It is actually already improved on the current website, it was worse before. I like it like that, it's clearly better but maybe you're right. Just need more feedbacks.

SteamyTaco says

Somehow, yeah. it was decided to remove NS1 gathers because nobody uses it to be honest. That was became useless & the idea is to focus on NS2 gathers now. You still can find NS1 history & if you're patient all the NS1 gathers, they have same URL than NS2 ones. But you cannot start any new NS1 gather, that's right.

There is no mobile version. I see what you are talking about, however, and we can look into forcing the regular version of site, like other sites do.

Could you please fix the colors for unread and read posts? The Bright Orange on a white background is like... so wrong in many ways!

And the "Gray/Blue" when a new Topic is made should also be reverted.

Colors will be reverted with the next push. Grey for read posts & Blue for unread posts.

Threads are not currently bumped in regards to last reply. New threads go to the top of the page where they should, but if you look at the dates of last replies, you can see that they're way out of order -- new replies don't kick the thread to the top.

No idea how that happened. :P

The numbers which come up when you've got an unread message need to be larger, as it is really easy to miss it. Maybe change the colour of the word too, just to make it stand out more.

Mega says
like the website alot and i simply gonna repost my feedback that didnt got responded to or reacted in any kind of messageing back on steam forum or idk..:

Mega says

3) The Gather button @top of the homepage should have the link "http://www.ensl.org/gathers/latest/ns2" so you allways get to the new gather after finishing playing the old one so you alt+tab to the browser and click on Gather instead hitting "refresh" and click on gather you simply click on gather and it loads the Next Gather to sign up = 1 less page refresh every time..

Gathers at the moment:
1) Join the gather and play it
2) Gather ends you want to join the next one
3) You hit Refresh page to after wards hit the gather button
(you cant hit the gather button cause it still links to the old one)
4) you hit the gather button to get to the new gather
5) you sign in there

Gathers if you consider my idea:
1) Join the gather and play it
2) Gather ends and you want to join the next one
3) you hit on the top of the page the "Gather button" to get to the new one
4) you sign in there

Mega says

5) if you try to write a forum post and you want to put in a url or a image in there are no buttons at all with these functions every modern forum/board website/software has these please insert them here to (BB Code ect)

Mega says

10) Gather needs a timestamp next to the person @namelist
or/and a deadmen switch that you get marked after 15 minutes as afk and get kicked after 30 minutes unless you type in the chat there

Banning people for being afk is not rly motivating them to join gathers more often neigther will it help let them play soon

if your instead do it like:
people in the gather have to type something in the chat all 30 minutes to stay in and all 15 minutes to not get marked afk next to the name
you prevent the banning for this "has been not there in the gather reason"

Mega says

13) make a steamgroup for events when a gather starts and give every gatheradmin right to create events there (or thats why it stands here, make it so that if 2-3 people join there that it sends out a steam-event automatical with the name "3/12 in the Gather" and the link http://www.ensl.org/gathers/latest/ns2 like on the old homepage)

anyone that saw the ausns2 steam group events or the reddit pug steamgroup events then you knows what im talking about can we have the same for ensl.org gathers plz (and give event rights to all ensl.org gather admins problem solved)

its incredible much work to message everyone if they would consider joinig
(same goes for finding pcws but thats a other story)

@Revilo, what numbers? I do not understand what you meant.
@Feather, it seems to be a strange bug, we'll take a look on this for sure.

@Mega, about your idea on the gather, I'm not sure that is very important at the moment but maybe I'm wrong dunno. I know we had the idea to make NSL gathers more similar to the US pugs, but I don't know if that's a good idea.

About the afk rules, pretty sure it's because of your last ban or something. It was a rule written at the beginning of the ENSL gathers as far as I remember, I guess it can be changed if people want to modify that rule but anyway, A good system for afk on the gathers is clearly needed. I don't think typing on the chat every 15/30min is a good idea, I guess we can make a new system to see if one people left the gather page or something, really need thoughts about this, if someone left the page like 15min ago, the website can kick you itself.

I disagree with a dedicated Steam group for gathers, that could be a nice idea but you can have 2 gathers per day or more, sometimes none, do you think people & players like to be spammed with an announcement or event many times each day, especially for gathers? This one is definitely outdated: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/enslgather

Regarding the gather groups, yeah, they can be ok sometimes, but the only reason we have a group is because a site level implementation was never developed fully for our site. We ended up with about 6 different groups and a huge mess with who owned what group etc etc. Wouldn't recommend.

Also, this forum isn't updating the last post correctly. The topic turns blue, but in the last post field it just displays the OP and not the latest poster. Pretty sure the date doesn't work either.

Csm just pushed a new update on the website that added:

Fixed some word wrapping issues with comments/shoutbox.
Fixed some weird issues showing latest reply on topics (Forums).

I just wanna drop in there again that many liked the idea of a "Merc- Sign up" area where mercs can sign up ( maybe be removed automatically every 30 min or 1 hour) that are free for that night so Teams can look for people.

Is this possible?
