can u add random map to map votes ? i mean sth like u would vote it same as regular map, but when it wins the vote, it would just randomly choose the map. It would make gathers more interesting, not just veil 24h

Lucid should be the only map in gathers.

Yeah, this first past the post system sucks. I vote we move to AV.

All you really need is several votes per person with limit 1 for map.

What gather map voting REALLY needs is 4 random maps you can vote on, instead of the full list. Then gathers won't be veil 24/7. That should also be quite easy to do.

I like homiks suggestion. It would give non-veil wanting players something united to choose (and bigger chance of getting it).

I actually used to joke about this at some point. It was like using veil/not veil vote. If veil doesn't get more votes than rest of the maps it won't be played. (at least as first map)
+1
but
problem is with no veil maps in gather is people don't know how to play any other map... =D sometimes we play a map like say metal and the marines die in 2 secs because of too many ambush... and not used to checking those corners etc.
just a matter of time i guess. in the beginning not everybody knew veil that well
