2011, ENSL releases an Android app.
What do you think of this? What functions would you expect? Such as a Gatherfunction - join/leave notifier if its full?
Would you pay a small fee in form of a donation for the ENSL?
Would you even use it? What more do you expect from this app?
Tell me your thoughts ;)
its a computergame, so why would anyone use an app for a mobile phone ? (i wouldn't)

well the idea is to use the website functions of the Community. Not to play the game. The other idea is to get a bit money for the community - serverpayments etc. dont forget that ns2 is comming (in 20 years) and if we have the capital in the right time the ENSL can be one of the greatest if not the greatest community.

make it for iphone, since i use one ; > but i'd say stay at it being a free program and just add a big shiny button "donation".

there is like 20 active people here, lets suppose 20% has android phone, this makes 4 people one of these people is u, so it leaves 3 people. What is the idea ? sign up for gather while riding a bike ? You can just use simple web browser. Better idea would be to just make like mobile version of ensl like m.facebook.com

Actually I'd fucking use it. I'd love to be in the living room talking shit on the gather and stuff.
I don't know if I could pay a donation since my currency is Potato€ but it's a nice idea.
If it doesn't take that much time/effort mp, I'd encourage you to do it, seriously.

nice statement acidic.... The same way everything is shit isnt it...
Well I think the first good step would be a mobile version of the ENSL page. Do statistics show how many people visit this webbage through their mobile? After you know those stats you see if a app is worth it or not.

It would be cool. Probably shoutbox, gather, news and latest forum posts are useful.

no gobot, I'm actually with the Finns on this one. Maemo/MeeGo ist the best smartphone OS I ever used. Sadly, they are too stupid to push it into the market. Still, this does not make iOS or android any good.
Anyway, I also agree with you. A mobile version would be way better and more versatile instead of doing an app.
