I know in the past this has been denied(mid season moves). However considering before the season started there was already a team that disbanned(eclipsed) in div 2. Is there any possibility the Div 2 could have either a team move up or down to make it an even 6. I think either way there is probably a team in either division 1 or 3 that would not be overpowering. and since it is still week 1, it should not do much to the schedule. I can name a couple of teams but rather the respective teams to chose or speak up if they would like to.

And if you can't move a team up or down.. Let us play each other twice! Would equal 8 matches the same as division 1.

You have to get more matches into div2. Otherwise it will be just bad. Just bad.

with so many teams in division 1 and the format where not everyone play each other, this is essentially the ladder format that should have been implemented already.

All the teams in one division, a time scale / set number of matches you need to play before the season is up.

f you dont play all the matches in time you simply loose points and finish lower as a result.

Some how, teams who challange teams seeded way higher than them get extra points if they win.

eams have to choose wisley who they play, maybe even way higher div teams get -1 point for declining a match.

Idk the ins and outs but with 10 teams with no chance to win their division this season, (div 1) i cant see ANY negative effects for them to have a ladder format, Simply because for them it already is! (but poorly made)

ladder plz

lol skyice. The current div 1 format is nowhere near a ladder format :P It's not even a real league format of any kind.

In every single division, most of the divisions teams practicly have very slim chances of winning, there will always be some teams that are better than others. It's exactly the same with a ladder, a ladder doesn't change that at all. Actually a ladder makes this "problem" even worse. Instead of being able to have division winners for every divison, you now only have one winner for the entire ladder. But ladders have some upsides as well, like making what we now call cross-divisional play a possibility in officials. Potentially giving more varied games.

I'd say just let div 2 teams play eachother twice, it's both the best solution and the only one to this problem at this time I guess.

We are thinking about your idea at the moment. It is 8 matches, that's right, but due to the odd team-number it would still be 10 weeks.

Just dont play the semis, As it is a small division we could just have a final and a 3rd place playoff.

To have a 3rd place bronze match you would need semifinals. Else it's "just" a final.

Also +1 on what tudy said. Not sure how I missed that, guess I should sleep at some time. For some reason I thought the initial group was 5 teams reduced to 4 with eclipsed disbanded. 10 weeks is a long time. Maybe niitse's suggestion could be used, with teams playing 2 matches for 2 of the weeks, that way it's reduced to 8 weeks. Depends if the teams can handle that.

I think he means 1st vs 2nd for playoff-winner and 3rd vs. 4th for bronze. Which could be run in parallel so no semis needed. We are looking into this as well.

Can we please play more than one match some of the weeks so we only use 8 weeks instead of 10 weeks?

If not, following contests will be delayed for the rest of the league or we will have some heavy overlapping. None of those two things is are much good to anyone.

It is difficult to play two matches in a week when its 2-US 3-EU- weekends are for enjoyment

We will stick with the 10 week schedule. Div2 had some breaks, which vanished now. The other divisions have a clean-up week anyways and with 5 teams in div2 we can skip the semifinals (maybe play bronze between 3rd and 4th) there.

Overall div2 will still stick out and be a week or two longer then the other divisions. But that is something we can still cope with. We will try our best to keep activity high after the season. Maybe kicking off with some draft-tourney or something similar small. An overlap would only affect the finalists of div2 then. Or we wait until div2 is finished, which is - as said - only a one or two week period.

There are plenty of options.
