Can we add a visual so that Aliens can see what upgrade their teammates have? Useful for working with your teammates in situations with Aura and calling out targets based on health and positions. If you don't know whether your teammate has Aura it complicates calling out targets. If you know whether or not they have the upgrade you can more confidently make or not make calls based on your teammates' upgrades.
I'd suggest either via scoreboard (preferable) or health bars like the way badges are shown during pregame. Or both and user-defined.

Sounds more like a feature for NS2+.
I agree that this seems out of the scope of comp mod.

So I know there's already a mod that does this somewhere, how can we go about adding this to servers?

haven't heard anything about this. the mod is ready whenever servers want to use it. should be dead easy to put it into comp mod if somebody wants that
might be wrong aswell but how about adding that to NSL mod then?
afaik dragon is still available to do tweaks on NSL mod, atleast that was the case when I was admin.
it belongs in nsl mod even less than comp mod and changing the mod when the publisher is so infrequently active is a recipe for bad times. you want to be changing mods you have control over and not wait around for disinterested people to eventually publish a fix. after everything that dragon told us about over-relying on his mods it's absolutely mind-boggling that people want to give nsl mod more responsibility when it doesn't have a maintainer.
if you're going to compromise the scope of a mod it might as well be one that is actively maintained.
ps i don't know how often deck and dragon talked and i don't know his level of involvement in the recent activation of DC bots but if i had to guess, he just did a quick favor for comp and flicked the switch on. i supremely doubt after all the history that he would want to come back and keep nsl mod humming by testing and integrating new features. assuming this, if you want an update to nsl mod you would have to write it and test it yourself so at that point you would republish it so you didn't have to carry an inactive publisher. understandably, nobody wants to do this
pps ask yourself why we rely on fred for team badges
